The Bangladesh Environment and Development Society (BEDS) is a leading community-based non-profit organization addressing environmental and social issues in Bangladesh since 2010. The long vision is to promote harmony between people and nature. BEDS works hand in hand with local communities, respecting indigenous knowledge, culture, and ecological wisdom to restore ecosystems and strengthen resilience. Due to outstanding contributions to environment and community development, BEDS is internationally and nationally recognized such as by receiving the prestigious Equator Prize in 2024 and the top National Environment Award of Bangladesh in 2022, along with several other national and international recognitions.
BEDS is committed to empowering the most vulnerable communities by building their capacity to sustainably manage natural resources, adopt eco-friendly livelihoods, reduce the impacts of climate change, and enhance socio-economic well-being�all while preserving the ecological balance of their environment.
